FakenBacker Rick Copy of Custom bass Guitar
sold and gone to West Virginia August 2021

This is a custom copy LEFTY bass guitar made to copy of a Rickenbacker Custom model I have seen online, but never had in shop. It's in pretty good overall shape with electronics working. Bridge looks a little out of line but strings set pretty good up and down neck. This guitar is strung with flat wounds. As mentioned, bridge seems off set off a little to one side. If I were making this a player, I might take it off and remount towards treble side 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch, though it is somewhat playable the way it sits, and with new offset saddle that were geared to the G string side, this alone would help some.

Saddles. Saddles are missing some screws, and have what I think are a few none original screws. The long screws that hold the saddles in place, the one on the smaller string seems shorter. Saddle/bridge section needs real TLC.

Electronics. Both pickups work. The double coil is quiet. The single coil has a little bit of noise in it. The 3 way selector switch works. The volume pots seem to work. One of the (what I would guess are) tone pots
seems to do nothing. The other, which sounds more like a treble tone, seems to work when on, but if you roll it all the way off, it creates a buzz like there is something wrong with the pot.

The nut, looks to me like it was originally set for right handed, as the grooves move in size opposite of the strings.

Other than that it’s perfect LOL.

Anyways, this could be a cool bass, but may need work and parts to make it a versatile player piece.
